Oh, Gorgeous Summer! Summer can make you go outside for hours, but all the time outdoors can be very aggressive your skin. Insect bites, rashes, summer acne, all this can be enough to turn your enjoyable sun to a skin nightmare.

A few remedies for sunburn, heat rashes, bug bites are a dime a dozen at the pharmacy. But you can make your own skin remedies from natural ingredients that can treat common summer skin ailments.

Aloe and Lemon Face Pack

Aloe Vera is a short stemmed medicinal plant, producing about six antiseptic ingredients. This natural antiseptics can kill any kind of bacteria, viruses or fungi that settle on the skin. Lemon is rich in Vitamin C (as all citrus fruits) and has a rich medicinal and cosmetic benefits. It’s a natural bleaching agent and a powerful antioxidant.

Ingredients

  • 1 Lemon Juice
  • 5-6 Medium Lenght Aloe Leaves

Steps

  1. Mash the Aloe Leaves and put it under a bowl
  2. Add Lemon juice
  3. Mix it until you get an aromatic paste
  4. Apply onto the tanned area and allow it to dry 2-3 times a day

Crunched Basil

Basil leaves are a natural source of anti-irritation compounds as camphor and thymol, can help you relieve itching and irritation from bug bites.

Ingredients:

  • Bunch of Common Market Basil Leaves
  • In alternative: Basil Essential Oil

Steps

  1. Collect the leaves
  2. Crush the leaves using a mortar and pestle of a food processor until you have a fine paste
  3. Rub directly onto itchy bites

Honey and Milk

Milk is a Diary Product that as cleanses and antiseptic properties, helping tissue regeneration. Honey, a natural sweetening agent produced by bees, is one of the most moisturizing and antibacterial agents for the skin, used in various cosmetic preparations. Its antioxidant properties are also famous for helping in wound healing.

Ingredients:

  • 50mL of milk
  • 2tbsp of honey

Steps:

  1. Mix milk with honey until you get a consistent paste
  2. Apply in the region to treat and let it about 15-20 minutes
  3. Fully remove it with water
  4. Repeat it a few times until you get the result you want
